there are four catagories. each song gets its own catagory and there WILL be a winner for each one if i get enough entries =3
this contest is going to work like this. there are three songs. the goal is to pick a certain chunk of lyric from one of the three songs, and draw a picture using one or more of my characters to the 'theme' of the lyrics you chose. an example is my picture of Rik, that i drew to the theme of The Gift by seether that can be seen here: [link]

So draw a picture, it doesnt need a background, it doesnt need to be shaded, it doesnt even need to be colored, portraying to the best of your abiliaties the theme behind a certain chunk of lyrics, using one or more of my characters. it can be any of my characters, any of my rp characters, any of my human characters... but i would like you to keep my character's personalities in mind. Do not use Kemper to portray cheerfulness, for example. Kemper is in a very depressing part of his life right now. =3

SONGS
the songs you have to choose from are...
1. Plastic Man - Seether
2. Slow Ride - Kenny Wayne Shepherd
3. What If - Creed
4. Exile - Enya
5. Touche - Godsmack
you can use anywhere between one line from the lyrics or the entire song. the more specific you are the higher your grade. if you enter in catagory 2 or 4(slow ride + exile) you'll get more points cause its a hard one x3

CHARACTERS
you can use any character of mine you want. if you arent certain about the character you have chosen's personality, you can note me and i will explain it to you.

RULES/POINT HINTS
1. you must use lyrics from one of the songs i have specified. NOTE-you dont have to include the lyrics on the picture itself unless you really want to =3
2. you must include at least one of my characters.
3. you do not need a background. having a background will not increase your chances of winning.
4. you do not need color, though this will give you extra points.
5. having more than one character will not increase your chances of winning.
6. you may include one of your characters or someone else's, as long as they have met or heard of the character of mine you have chosen.
7. the more complicated the design of my character is, the less i will worry about you getting their design perfect. once you choose your character and let me know who it is, i will make a complete reference of them for you. The more complicated their design is, the more points you will get for getting it right--but i will not hold you as closely to it as, say, with a character of a simpler design.
8. you do not need to include the character's whole body/ies. it can just be their eye or their leg if you want, as long as it gets the point of the lyric across.
9. you may inflict harm on my characters in order to get your point across. use any means neccassery.

JUDGING
1. creativity. you will be graded on how you go about connecting the lyrics you choose with your picture, how closely your lyrics tie in with the character
2. expression you will be graded on how well the character/s you chose portray the emotion or theme you specify that you've seen in the selected lyric. this can be just in their eyes, or even in their entire pose and surroundings.
3. dont worry. you can just have a sketch. it'll qualify as long as it follows the rules. =3

PRIZES - everybody wins =3
first place - you will receive a fully colored and shaded picture of up to two characters, with or without lines. it may or may not have a background. AND an animated icon. (no lines [link] lines [link] icon)
second place - you will receive a fully colored and shaded picture of one character, with or without lines. it may or may not have a simple background. AND an animated icon. (lines [link] icon [link] )
third place - you will receive a fully colored and shaded picture of one character, with lines. it may or may not have a simple background. AND an animated icon. (lines [link] icon [link] )
consolation prize - a flat colored, lined picture with no background. =3 (possibly transparent) OR(/not/ and) an animated icon. (pic [link] icon [link] )

DEADLINE - APRIL SIXTH. you have two months ^^
